Heated everything was the only thing that worked for me, but I would ride into freezing temperatures. I have a heated jacket, boot insoles and gloves. That's what it took to keep fingers from going white.

I had numb hand issues if my gloves were even the least bit tight across the back of my hand when gripping the throttle. I had to wear a XXL or XXXL to get rid of numbness.

I've gone to Montreal for lunch, and back. F# flying that short of a distance. When I traveled weekly for work, anything under 800 km I would drive. Add up all the time waiting in airport, delays, dealing with rental car, blah.

Motorcycles are safe. It's the sudden stops and unintended dismount where you get hurt.

Its a great cold weather helmet, can be stifling in hot weather due to how well it seals around neck. For the record, the chin bar does no pop open when it strikes pavement. the visor dissappearde but helmet is solid.

No official word from insurance yet, just my guess its totalled. I was offered a rental vehicle, cant drive and dont need it. I'll ask about helmet replacement.

The winshield was broken with shoulder, it looks like helmet only touched the pavement when i face planted on passenger side, theres only a scuff on the helmet chinbar, no other marks. the visor broke off so no telltale marks to see, modular helmet did not pop open. I've kinda pieced it together...

Yes, no tickets for me, even insurance assigned me zero blame based on police report.

Was riding yesterday, was such a nice day. Then got taken out by a suv at 7pm. Broken collarbone, and bike is more than likely totalled. Keep riding but stay safe.

Awesome. I was within 50 miles of doing the 1000 this summer, next year for sure.

100% Truth. The only way I can keep my hands warm is with a warm upper body. I feel comfortable at colder temps, but my Raynaud's kicks in and the warmest gloves in the world wont keep my fingers from going white.

Hah yes, that's a huge plus to riding late fall and early spring.
