You only need an inch or so of squish. Iv seen people bottom out mx bikes and blow seals. There's also a plastic spacer you can buy that goes between the fender and tire and only allows for 1/2" of squish.

Edge performance just ordered me 2 keys for $22 They are blank and then you hve to take the lock cylinder to a lock smith and have them make An impression and cut your blank keys accordingly. I got a price for a Local ls at $25 for the impression and the cut is free if I bring him keys

If you stick to track days your don't need insurance. There are tracks all over Ontario that charge around 30 a day to ride. I'd recommend a crf250r. Fun bikes and a hell of a lot safer for a new rider than the 450, although iv never had as much fun on a track as on a 450.
