well I learned something new today, smaller contact patch = better traction .......cool

Keeping your weight on the pegs gives you better traction too! Once you put your feet on the ground where there is little or no traction, you are probably stopped or hopelessly stuck.

thanks!! i'll work on decreasing my contact patch first, with any luck I can eliminate it all together for maximum traction

The tire studs should do the trick quite nicely.

I got exams tomorrow because of the stupid college strike and I am going to miss out on some super nice riding weather...

Who else is gonna be riding!?

Already been riding, no stopping now!

Hey, feel like Burrito Boyz run tomorrow?

EDIT: Just realized Tuesday meetups are in Sauga, whomp whomp.

Where abouts are you at?

Finally got out this morning after 7-10 days of not being able to. I missed a few good days and a few I would have had no intention riding on. This morning was a bit on the chilly side for my liking but the ride home should be rather balmy. It felt great to be on two wheels again. :)

Looking at the forecast for today, 13 degrees. And I can't ride.

It's still nippy this morning at 5 C but lovely sun - will be fine around noon,

It was 2-3 C for my ride in this morning. I'm still warming up. I'm going to have to invest in some heated gear or do a better job of layering if I'm going to ride in these temps. Thankfully it's only about a 40 min ride to work so it is still tolerable.

Roads looked at bit wet this morning, but was fine. A little rear wheel spin on one corner to wake me up.

Was a nice easy ride in. -2 when I left home in Port Perry. Lots of frost on rooftops and in fields, and some parts of the road had frost on it off the car tracks. More traction than the look of the road would indicate. Cars were going slower than usual so just took it easy.
