How could I get ******? I came over for a visit. He was washing the car. I went inside, grabbed a free lunch , came back out and it was done. Left the bike there and I'm going back after work.

He didn't mean any harm. Hell I've seen people who ride do it to the whole tire. All he did was the side walls and hit the treads a bit.

I hear that stuff can make your tires cracked as well so the sooner I get it off the better.

**** happens but getting furious especially with your family just isn't worth it.

I've used brake cleaner on occasional lube overspray.. Applying it once in a blue moon won't do anything to the tires. Never had issues with them drying out or cracking.

Yeah I use something as a shield when I do that. I don't think it paranoia but then again maybe it is.

A good burn out is an easy way to take care of the rear tire. Good luck with the front.

Apparently this is a thing... I am not sure how people can be so clueless, it even says to NOT use the product on bicycles or anything of the sort as it makes the surface slippery... but ya know.. gotta make dem tires shiny for dem timmy meets.

Brake cleaner. Its good too if you want to remove the coating from the new tires. Just spray the towel and wipe away.

My Father In Law done the same to me....

Another forum recommended brake cleaner, which I used and it seemed to have done the trick.

A tire is not just a tire, in order to work the molecular structure needs to remain elastic, I wouldn't add brake cleaner even if it "seem to do the trick"

Just ride the damn thing and be cautious for a bit, people worry to much

I occasionally use tire shine for the sidewall only and by applying a thin coat using a rag.
