Ben Spies@BenSpies1121h
So I'm bored for the next hr ill answer some questions...obviously choose your questions wise so I can answer! Ill do this more often too!

Jonathon Charles@F1ROKS9622h
@BenSpies11 Do you think casey will come back?

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@F1ROKS96 u can never know with him but as long as politics are the way they are...no.

Trevor Grant@trdg5122h
@BenSpies11 if Marquez was on a Yamaha would he have won as many races this season?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@trdg51 no he's good don't get me wrong but for instance today's race he wouldn't have. Look at Jorge compared to the others.

Cindy Poluta@CindyPoluta22h
@BenSpies11 - so much doping in pretty much every sport at the moment., do you think MotoGP riders dope as well? Why would they need to?

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@CindyPoluta this is a subject I don't like obviously. But yes I think it's out there for sure. I've raced for 13 years and tested twice

Jason George@jasongeorge1422h
@BenSpies11 Can I meet you at Stackhouse for a burger sometime?

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@jasongeorge14 sure u gonna buy me one? Haha

Ronald R Silvers@RonaldRSilvers22h
@BenSpies11 Is your contract for next season? Hopefully yes.
Ben Spies
@BenSpies1122h

@RonaldRSilvers yes I have a contract for next season! I've read all the rumors but as long as I'm healthy I'll be back!

Jawad Iceman@MAJORPR3D4TOR22h
@BenSpies11 Which of the remaining races do you think is where Marquez will wrap up the championship? Shame also not to see you on the bike.

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@MAJORPR3D4TOR it's a tough one cause now Honda will pressure him to think a lot more I say he will def win 1 more and win with a race left

andrew lawry@angellawry22h
@BenSpies11 Hi, how strong is the urge to race bikes? Would you go to a series like BSB, or super sport if motogp and sbk fell through?

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@angellawry no I would still ride for fun for sure but if you can't save its a bit dangerous just to pay bills haha

Carmen Asmeeth@Candid_Carrie22h
@BenSpies11 Winter is coming - do you snowboard or ski?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@Candid_Carrie snowboard but I doubt I'll be allowed to this year!

Dan Jeffries@dj094722h
@BenSpies11 when you are flipping channels, what is the one movie you will always stop on and watch?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@dj0947 for the love of the game

Urška #93 @Urska_22h
@benspies11 What do you think about Marquez? Btw races aren't the same without you! Greetings from Slovenia. :)
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@Urska_ Marquez is awesome but now that I've been watching so much this year. The races are quite boring compared to Wsbk

mark culverwell@culverwell2722h
@BenSpies11 where you ****** when Casey just beat you at Valencia in 2011.
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@culverwell27 nah. I was 8 seconds back with 5 to go. That I caught him was a win to me

Tommy@GeneticSequence22h
@BenSpies11 Fastest speed with wheel lofted is..? What is approx HP, Torque and weight for your bike? What is the fastest you've ever been?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@GeneticSequence id say 215 at mugello u wheelie a bit. Fastest maybe 225 and hp honestly they won't say but rough guess is 260 270

craig seaston@craigyboy196922h
@BenSpies11 a up Ben, would you ever consider racing the Isle of Man tt?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@craigyboy1969 no I'm sorry but I'm completely against that race I can't even watch it. Would love to ask the promoter to let his kid race!

Louise Humphreys@LouiseLoubear1022h
@BenSpies11 Looking forward to the Phillip Island GP very soon, with Casey Stoner gone, who do you think looks suited at the track for a win

Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@LouiseLoubear10 I think Jorge should do it there

Colin Lolacher@ColinLolacher1122h
@BenSpies11 did you do anything different when training to race at Miller in Utah? Im there next weekend and I hears the altitude is brutal
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@ColinLolacher11 nah u can't train for that. Drink lots and put a lot of Vaseline on ur lips before u race cause you get bad dry mouth!

mark culverwell@culverwell2722h
@BenSpies11 favorite street bike of all time.
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@culverwell27 probably a Yamaha r7

Felipe Rios Moreira@frmdiver22h
@BenSpies11 How is it? to ride for yamaha alongside Lorenzo? Was he n the politics the issue?
Ben Spies@BenSpies1122h
@frmdiver no Lorenzo was one of my best teamates ever. We still talk and get along great.

Even Ben Spies says that watching MotoGp is boring. Marques is bringing some excitment.

Funny thing is that Pedrosa said that Marques was riding outside the limit! however if you see the video, Pedrosa pussyed out and applied the brakes way to hard causing Marques to go off line.

Pedrosa 7 years with the best bike and no Championships
Marques 1 year with the best bike and probably the next world Champion, it's like the kid has to ride around all these bunch of premadonas.

7 years yes, but look at his stats. one of the winning-est riders to step on the podium.

MM going way to fast to make the turn.

The great thing about having a motogp subscription is that I get to see what happened from all kinds of different angles over and over again.

Pedrosa Braked so hard that he almost did a stoppy causing Marques to almost ram on his back. When you are racing that close to someone, you count on that person maintaining speed and not doing any abrupt actions, Dani for a split second applied the brakes so hard and like i said almost did a stoppy.

I will post once is available on youtube

Edit:
Exactly at 0:47 - Look at Dani's Bike and his front Fork Compression and the most telling part is his rear lifting for a split of a second.

Side question---is it just me, or the switching between different cameras was not really available for regular subscribers for most races so far? I also have a subscription, and after reading your post I was pleasantly surprised that the feature was enabled. I believe it was an extra 50 euros early on.

On topic---I can definitely see what you're talking about, namely the sudden application of brakes by Pedrosa for a split second.

yea, you are talking about the multiscreen, that is a new feature this year and its an extra cost. However after the race, they have a bunch of videos of the different angles before and after the crash.

I personally think he took a shorter line to keep him behind. MM is very aggressive and nothing wrong with that but you should be able to counter your aggressive style is not your just going to be riding into people. How many times this season has he gone way to hot into the corners and he is able to come out of it on top; usually because no one is that close to him. Look at Jerez race come on man I know theirs racing but damn he pretty much t-bone Lorenzo. Simoneschi used to ride like him (may he rest in peace) but **** That race was etched into my mind he was my 2nd favorite next to dani and I watched the on board footage and he should have just let the freakin bike low-side but no he kept pushing.

p.s. I know Dani to safe in the breaking zone. He need to push his own limit. To win the Crown.

In Jerez, even Jorge (after his little childish fit) admitted that he left the door open taking the turn wide, he didn't know MM was that close, Marc saw the opportunity and took it, obviously when you ride deep into the corner you run wide on the exit, but that was done by design and not by out riding the limits, that's racing.

Simonchelli rode like a champion, to me that is all it is to it.

I agree with what you say about Marquez being aggressive and Pedrosa timid on his braking points, that was exactly my point of why Pedrosa has not won a World Championship and never will.

I feel bad for Pedrosa because the guy is fast, but he is like a Zombie, has no soul, boring as hell.

MM going way to fast to make the turn.

As a counter point, in 2006 when Dani crashed into his teammate who happened to be leading the championship, Puig & Dani blamed Hayden for the incident claiming that Hayden slowed too much in the corner.

It's all about perspective. Marquez ran a little deep while actually trying to make things happen instead of waiting 3/4 of the race for the "perfect pass". If everyone rode like Jorge & Dani they could just give the trophy to the fastest qualifier and skip the race.

Marquez has said himself that that corner was his fault - he had to release the brakes for a moment because the front wheel was going to slide. Pedrosa obviously took a tight line so Marquez didn't pass on the inside.

This was a freak accident, but Marquez has almost run into the back of people a bunch of times this season - that's why people are upset.

I see that people like Marquez, but that doesn't mean that we need to put the blinders on and accept that every single decision he makes is the right one.
I watched a **** load of interviews with Marquez and never heard him saying that, he went to apologize because is the politically right thing to do to keep a good "team" environment with Dani. Do you have a link?

I don't think his decisions are always the right ones, I agree with you, but his decisions are always the most entertaining :)

Casey Stoner set for Phillip Island return
Tuesday, 1 October 2013

There are only three riders who have been recognised with their own stretch of bitumen at the renowned Phillip Island track and it is fitting that all three will ride together in a once-in-a-lifetime display for fans at next month’s MotoGP™ event.

Stoner has completed hundreds of laps around the 4.445km circuit on race weekends but 2013 will be something different for the two-time World Champion.

"The 2012 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix was a fairytale ending to my MotoGP™ career," he said. "It will be nice to take to the track with Mick and Wayne this year without the pressure of competing. I look forward to enjoying it and mixing with the fans that have supported me throughout my career."

Stoner has won the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix for the last six years in a row and in 115 MotoGP™ outings started on pole 39 times, set 29 fastest laps and took 69 podium finishes. He won 38 times; only Rossi, his great compatriot Giacomo Agostini and Mick Doohan stand above him on the all-time premier class winners’ list.

Stoner will be joined by Gardner and Doohan on 20 October, just moments before the start of the 2013 Tissot Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in which a new King of Phillip Island will be crowned.

I didn't say it was the smartest move but he didn't actually hit Dani and take him out. He grazed him and dislodged a component which in turn caused a crash. I just think that people get their panties in a bunch way too much over this stuff. If he had t-boned him instead avoiding him it would be a much different situation.
