Best grips for a sportbike...

Which ones do you guys like the best or find to be the longest lasting? I've been using ProGrips but I'm lucky if they last longer than half a season before getting all torn up. There also doesn't seem to be too many options to choose from, just different styles of ProGrips...

I have progrip 700scs on my Vfr, avoid them. Already starting to look worn after 1000km.

I prefer OEM grips on my Monster. Tried pro grip 719 gel which were terrible at absorbing vibration.

Tell that to my insurance company, I'd love for my rates to go down since it's not a sportsbike.
I doubt you're paying sportbike insurance.

As for grips, I think OEM is the way to go. I currently have a set of Renthal Dual Compound grips on my track bike and they're noticeably thinner than my stock grips on the GSXR.

I think he's trying to say 250's aren't real sportbikes.

He must be one of peggy's friends. :lmao:

insurance classified the 125 and 250 as a scooter... i was quoted something like $50 a month back a few years ago when a 600cc was going to cost me $1000.
i imagine i would be paying something like $25 a month on one now with 8 years under my belt.

as for grips, i use Spider grips. they will probably last 1 season but they are amazing. i got sick of the honda factory grips not being aggressive enough i felt like i had to squeeze them too tight to hold the throttle (maybe its because of the holes in my gloves lol)
but the spider grips i can cruise with my hands just resting on top, they have enough traction on them.
i use the Peak model, its the same model the Ducati race team uses (or so they claim)

where can those Spider Grips be bought? There's no dealer info on the site.
