Next Bike... Which one?

Hey guys, it's pretty much official. After the bike was rear ended it's being written off.. Now I'm on the market again for another bike, the last 2 I had were gixxers (07's...over the last 5 years). I've been meaning to change bikes but I can't seem to make up my mind towards which one: Ninja, R6, or the CBR. As I haven't ridden any other bikes besides suzuki and rode a CBR for 30 min..(Actually my last bike had the R6 throttle mod) which would you guys say is the most similar to the gsx..I loved how it was very forgiving, and sitting level was great, it wasn't too aggressive. Lastly I really love how the turns were so smooth on the bike, the handle bar had a nice smooth friction when turning compared to a CBR handle bar which seems to be really free and you can toss it around..

Any advice would be great :)

Thanks!

07+ Cbr 600. Hsed is the electronic steering dampener which stiffens the handle bars dependent on speed. It's stock on all +07 Cbr 600. Great handling and mid range.

Second vote is Gsxr 750 if your looking for more power

Get a Jap bike...very cool

Why not the 675 Triumph?

I'd take it as an opportunity to try something different instead of a different brand of the same thing. I like variety, though.

If you like the gsxr then why change it? In the end you might regret it and end up selling to buy another gixxer lol

BTW if you want a bike go on a demo and ride it, or get some friends to let you ride theirs. Don't buy a bike based on advice from other's, since most people buy one brand and praise it like its the best thing since sliced bread, meanwhile thats the only bike they've ever been on...

I do live the gixxer, the only thing is I absolutely HATE the design starting from 08 and onward.. So it's difficult to find a 06/07 with low KM's as they're getting older..

Everyone will give you their opinions, but remember that none of them matter including mine

I was in a similar situation, i had a zx6r in 2010 and I got rear ended and my bike was totaled - I am a kawi guy like you are a Gixxer guy but at the end you have to go with what is better and not the brand

I end up with a Gsxr 750 (2010) the reason was because there is no other 750 on the market. None of the bikes will be similar to the GSXR, none of them are as confortable as the GSXR, so if long rides is what you are all about then get another GSXR.

Make a list of the things you use your bike the most for:
- long trips
- Commute to work
- Rips to the crappy ontario roads

Then research which bike is better for that specific criteria and go test ride it.

If it was me, I would get the zx6r, but that is just me.

If your looking for another japanese bike i would go with the ZX6R personally. Second choice would be the CBR.

Does it have to be an inline?? The triumph is a hot bike, the gsxr 750 would be great as well but there's always an 848 if you want more power. However a twin is a whole different bike to ride in comparison to what you're used to.

I haven't thought about a Triumph :o

Do it. I will never own one of the Jap I-4 Supersports now. I've tried a K6 Gixxer, the old 636 and an 05 CBR as well.

More power than what?

Go for something that you barely see on the roads, something unique like a Suziki RGV 250-500 / Yamaha RD 250-350-500 or a first generation GSXR 750
