Am I the only one that got one instead of drinking the I-coolaid

Yes you're one of the very few people who got the HP instead of an iPad and you made a huge mistake. Congrats on "not drinking the kool-aid" and wasting your money on an inferior product with almost no developer support. Anroid tablets are still infant products while the iPad has a huge 2 year lead in the market. iPad is the market.

You should of got the asus transformer, and the optional keyboard dock
at 2.1 dual core processor it is pretty impresive but I can't stand the android ui.

What good is a fancy new operating system (whether it be WebOS or BBOS or Android) when you only have 10 developers and 15 apps for the system? I have no idea why anyone would drop 500-1000 on a device with hugely limited market appeal and an even more limited developer base.

Software makes the device, and iPad has it in spades. Pretty simple to me. It sounds like you're just "too cool" to own an iPad because that's the trendy way of thinking for the modern day geek. It's Apple? It sucks!

Fart apps? Exactly what someone who doesn't own an iPad would think.... lol

my gf owns one, played with it plenty. I like the ipad, I think it's a good product, she got it because for what she wants to do with it fits her perfectly, she also did her research and made sure not to buy it because its the trendy thing but because she likes it and she has a mac, unlike most people. I have an issue when you say inferior product, I would like you to demostrate how is it inferior as a product, I give you the amount of apps, anything else you were referring too. To me user interface, vpn, integration with my phone are things I need, I need to use it for work and not to just play angry birds

Brainwashed much?

OP, you started the thread off negatively by referring to people that bought the iPad as "drinking the i-Coolaid". People responded to your negativity with there's and you seemed to get a little offended by there negativity.

You bought a tablet other than an iPad. Good for you if you like it. But there's no need to start off in a negative light.

Personally I like the iPad because it has really good support, good apps, and is well made for what I need. No I didn't look at other tablets because I am used to iOS with my iPhone and it works really well for me. I have had problems with my iPhone and it's great to just pop into the Genius Bar and have them fix it or replace it right then and there.

I tried the hp pad and it was slow and cumbersome when compared to the iPad. It seems to be behind in the tech and software. iPad is the better product, for now.

well, by your logic then no one should by an apple computer, since they have "limited market appeal" with somewhere around 10% of market share, and pc has them beat "in spades" in terms of software apps available, and developers working.

lol, fanboi much?

I would like you to demostrate how is it inferior as a product

It has next to no developer base, it's bigger and heavier than an iPad, it has about half the battery life. Demonstration complete.

Now I'd like you to demonstrate what it does better than an iPad, other than perhaps integration with WebOS devices since that's a "duh".

You have to be kidding or brainwashed. The ipad is the most useless tablet on the market. It's miles behind any other tablet out there. 50% of the apps are garbage. Android is still infant, but is developing faster then any other os on the market. Compare the ipad to the asus transformer and you'll see what a real tablet is. Apple needs to add more versatility to the ipad. Yes the ipad was good when first released. but since then other companies have taken the tablet over the top, and apple has done minor changes. I bought an Asus T101Mt, this way I have a tablet and a laptop when needed. it may be heavier, and more cumbersome then a real tablet, but for my use the duel use fits best.

The real web (not a water down "mobile" version)
Dual core processor at 1.2ghz
Not an Apple product.

Demonstration complete.

^^ lol 2 completely deluded apple haters right up in here

Dual core 1.2ghz processor to run all those..... 5 apps. And the "real" web.

2 years now? And the iPad is still the only real viable 'tablet' on the market.

Please gimme a break... the real reason we have tablets is because we need something to do while taking a **** or have access to porn on the go. There is nothing else to do on the internet.

I for one am very much anti-establishment and therefore 2cool4ipad.

My biggest worry about the HP pad is the support from HP and it's app store. I don't think the app store will be a hit at all for HP webos. Not for a long time anyways.

I still haven't jumped on a tablet yet. I'm going to wait for the amazon tablets. Those look amazing.

Well since you guys are talking about Android, HP and Apple tablets, I thought I'd be the first to say that I got the Blackberry Playbook =) It's personal preference on what tablet you get. I have personally been a Blackberry fan boy since 2007. I'm not a games type guy and I think that's mainly what Apple is for. Can't wait for Android apps to hit the BB App World =D
