Best commuting ss?

I know thats an oxymoron, but I dont like sport tourers or cruisers, im an ss guy.
I just sold My r1 cuz of the heat factor on my crotch and legs, so im actively searching for my next bike.
Now with that being said, I commute from the jax to sauga everyday( 60km one way), and as you know aslot of it is just slow speeds and stop and go. I have had different year r1's, r6's, 636's and the cramping wasnt too bad but they wch had there own lil issues.

So based on your experience and what bike you have, what would you suggest would be a good bike for my purpose. I should note though, i do go for some spirited night rides and sometimes on the weekend.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

get a busa, it's a rocket powered couch.

Thats what im leaning towards, more so the 954 cuz i went and looked at one and didnt think i would like them, but was surprised at how much i did. heard they heat up alot though!

If you are commuting from Ajax to Mississauga every day why are you taking the 401?

Traffic is not stop and go on the 407.

My cbr 600 rr is a solid ride in.

I would like to stick with something with more ccs then 600 if i can, and i sat on a 600rr and the seat is so narrow.

Im not paying 407 anything, cuz i hate those Bastards, and i dont feel like gettin nabbed with a flip plate.

Loved the 929 for my commute..you're stretched out a bit (compare to my 03 600rr) and its incredibly smooth. The seat could be better (as on any sportbike) cuz it's not meant for comfort. get a corbin and you're set.

Me, i'm getting a scooter next year for commute. No lie.

ya I'm a small dude. I'm kinda jealous...really want something around 1000cc's, but I'm going to wait until I have more km's under my belt.

VFR, yes it's technically a sport tourer, but if you buy an older 5th gen they were sport than tour. V four with mounds of torque and comfortable. If you are looking newer many vtecs can be had under 10k. Best all around road bike in my opinion (that's a totally biased opinion). :)

Im actually gonna look at an 02 gsxr 1000, heard there really good and not bad on the comfort side.
I would be down with splitting with you! You thinking about the spray or the cover?

How bout a GSXR? Heard they're comfy and lightweight.

Who needs a flip plate when you can get a http://www.phantomplate.com/

Speaking of which, anybody want to split an order? =D

Gixxer

VFR's run warmer than most inline 4's.

Had a 5th gen great bike.

+1

I got an 06 and it's pretty sporty looking and comfortable as hell!

I bought a 02 VFR 800 because of all the good things I was reading about it.I didnt test drive the bike ,bought it with cash to get a better price and as soon as I drove it I knew I made a mistake.I sold it right away and bought a 02 Blackbird for the same price.
My friend had a Blackbird and told me to look into buying one.I love the bike, its very stable on the highway, not too heavy(just a bit more than a VFR)and twice as fast.I was suprised how easy the bike is to ride fast or slow.I know its not a Busa but its not far behind.
I am only 5 ft 6 and I can ride this thing all day not like my 02 ZX6

Good luck on buying your new ride
