Proposal to Ban Serving Food to Obese People

The bleeding hearts are the idiots who WANT the government to step in and control the masses of idiots who can't control themselves, and in the process completely obliterate the few freedoms we all still have.

God forbid people still had the right to decide what to friggin eat... :rolleyes:

The issue is that all these morons who will readily agree to this proposal only agree because it won't affect them... so its okay. But when the time comes for the government to decide that, say, motorcycles are too unsafe and should be banned, they'll all come crying out of the woodwork.
 
Party affiliation need not matter... there are bleeding heart morons on all sides of the fence. Not to mention that down south the party lines are so crossed up its not even funny. You've got conservatives offering to vote for Clinton because they think McCain isn't "conservative" enough.

i agree with the idea b/c it will help obese people help themselves.

for them to randomly say motorcyles are unsafe.... would not happen without cause. they cant just decided one day to remove all motoryclces from the road.

this idea has its merits. look at he people. look at the obese rate. children obeseity.

There is a difference between "helping" and "forcing". If they wanna help them, send a friggin pamphlet telling them to stop eating unhealthy foods.

This isn't "help". This is taking away peoples' freedom to eat whatever they wanna eat. It would carry a TINY BIT more merit were it proposed in Canada, but there is no UHC in the US and everyone is responsible for themselves. If the 500lbs woman wants to stay 500lbs, she won't get healthcare. Done deal. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, WHAT A NOVEL IDEA!
 
Am I the only one that actually heard what she said? She started by saying this bill was not intended to be anything more than a way to get people to start talking about it. It will never pass, was never intended to pass. The people that wrote it do not agree with it, she does not agree with it either. You only need to hear the first 30 seconds of what she says to hear this.
 
they can eat what they want, i say force them to hit the gym for an hour a day.

AA for the overweight.

fast food places still make money, gyms make more money. fitness instructors make more money. And the overweight may realize that this gym thing is more fun than watching tv after a days work.

Why even bother? In the states you can't lean on the government to fix you free of charge when your non-stop McDonalds-eating fat *** develops a heart disease... if death isn't enough to put you on the right path, you've already accepted your fate. Eat away!

That was her weasel clause so she doesn't get sued to sh!t by the fatties
