What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Just buy a used set of actual track bodywork.

Doesn't get windy........

You go from debating actual top speed to saying it doesn't get windy? haha...

Lol I wouldn't bet you a nickel. Limiter set to 14,250rpm....that's beyond ballsy. How many KM on your motor now? A couple missed shifts and an extra down shift will ensure you need parts.

That's only +500rpm, not much at all!

I used to hit the rev limiter twice per lap, once on the side straight and one just before the chicane. If I was going to have engine problems I would have had them before now :) lol. No idea how many KM's, next time I hook my dash up I'll check, probably around 20k now I'd assume. The rev limiter was set to 14250rpm before I even rode it for the first time :D

Hitting the rev limiter while accelerating is different than if you miss a shift and hit it.

Anyway, oil changed in the Gsxr, new rear tire installed, new reg/rec installed, new ballistic battery installed. B bike is ready for bogie! Pick up the ZX10 from accelerated technologies on my way up tomorrow. It's going to be a great weekend!

You're gonna love Bogie, best of luck to you next weekend.

Why? It doesn't get too windy at SMP, TMP or RDT. At mosport or bogie I'd probably have to remove my tank mounted camera so I could get low enough to stop the wind from blowing me off :)

And you don't find a benefit of getting into a proper tuck/position on other tracks?

Anywho, I pulled my belly-pan and repainted the front due to not enough heatshield inside discolouring some paint (still the prettiest rattle-can paintjob at the track :) )

I did not know it was your first time at bogie. Be prepared for your face to hurt from the perma smile. :)

Installed some captive wheel spacers on my spare rims.
No more mucking about with those $^#*@*! spacers on wheel changes.

I would never know, I've ran a tank mounted camera ever since I've ran track, so I've never tucked much over the tank.

Put in a new rectifier and the charging system seems to be working again. Going to change the mounting location to below the battery box where it will get lots of airflow.

Fixed the slipper clutch. Tool it out for a test ride and my god it is awesome now that it works.

Yesterday - Rode it. 7th in VRRA Period 4 Formula 3 out of 41 bikes on the grid. Then ... changed the oil, put on a 1 tooth bigger front sprocket in preparation for Bogie (we are the invitational class) and had new tires put on it.

What was wrong with it?
