Tmp sat just added

Got the email too. I wonder why July 4th is not in the list, already took the day off, lol!

Thurs looks like a washout, so I'll be seeing y'all on Sat. PS I'm not on the list either....found out through a buddy

It was a fantastic day! Perfect weather, zero wind. Had lots of fun, slightly improved my personal best time, but I was consistently lapping at that pace most of the time, so I'm very satisfied! As I was exploring some late braking limits, I ran off once with no problems, then ran off again at turn 7, went through the mud and once I hit ashfalt (the secondary road), I washed out. Bike has minimal damage, and I don't think I'm hurt too bad. Overall, an awesome day! Many thanks to TLDeano for helping me throughout the day, I definitely became a better track rider thanks to his tips and riding in front to show me some lines. Can't wait for my next track day!

^ Awesome BP, bud. Sorry to hear about your spill, it seems like it wasn't anything major anyways.

Well, it does feel like I was hit by a train this morning, but it's really no biggie---nothing broken, just some bruising on the rib cage and hip, I'm sure I won't feel anything in a couple of days. It was my first crash, so yeah--I hope all crashes that will inevitably follow are so minor :)

Heal up soon. Are you going to the Gtam weekend at tmp?

Thanks!

Hope I can make it for the GTAM weekend, but I haven't pre-registered yet as I'm not sure of my schedule around those dates. Everybody's saying GTAM days are great and a lot of fun.

I feel bad I mentioned later braking points for you! :(

Lol, nooo, you shouldn't at all! The late braking points worked great, in fact---once I found a good marker for a corner, on subsequent laps I began braking at that marker almost subconsciously, and it worked great! My little crash was not even going to be a crash if there wasn't mud on the outside perimeter of the corner---I went out with bike completely straight up, but probably touched the front brake in the mud, don't remember (Murphy's law: the batteries of my camera died just before the start of that session, which I noticed when I was leaving the pits, so decided to go and put my spare battery after the session, lol). Anyway, given that I wasn't hurt and the damage to the bike is really miniscule, it's weird but I'm somehow glad it happened. My cheapo Scorpion Exo-400 helmet got a beating, but it was getting old anyway (Snell 2005!!!), so just in time for a replacement (with another exo-400, but fresher) :)
