i rly didn't want to post this review but TJ calling me on the phone and threatening me and calling me a rich spoiled brat just did it
for any of you that know me i work for all my toys and my parents never gave me money since they where always broke

A couple of months ago i started looking for a paint shop to do the body work on my bike - i had 2 sets of body panels that i wanted to get painted with patterns and a set of wheels. after contacting multiple shops some of which were too booked up, some didn't show too good of quality work, and others just didnt want to work on bike parts for some reason.eventually i contacted Reflection Auto Refinishing - TJ was available and willing to take on the job. we have discussed in details what needed to be done, I have warned him that I am a picky customer when it comes to the quality of work I expect, but i was assured that it was ok and on March 15th I drove to niagara falls with all the parts and dropped them off. At the same time i gave a deposite of about half of total estimated cost of the work.

sometime later i came down again to drop off the decals that were supposed to go on the bike and to pick up the wheels that were ready by then. my first mistake was that i didn't take too close of a look at the wheels while we were at the shop, i just loaded them in the car. when I got home i realized that there was quite a bit of dust in the clear coat and one side the clear was smudged with a finger or something. for a sanity check i showed the rims to a few friends and they all weren't impress with the quality and suggested i should get them re-done.

At that point i contacted TJ to express my concerns, mainly in hopes to avoid the same issues repeated in the painting of the body panels. Not only was there not an attempt to resolve the issue, instead TJ flipped out on me and told me to pick up the rest of my parts saying that he won't do anymore work for me. since i really wanted to have my bike finished i tried to offer to pay more to help cover any added cost that may be associated with better quality, but instead TJ just repeatedly refused. to this point i can't understand what made him react this way and why wouldn't he want to finish what he originally committed to. i never even asked for my money back, all i wanted was for him to finish the job and fix the screwed up parts.

What's worse he originally offered to refund me my deposit for the most part including the cost of labour (at that point he had only sanded down the parts and no other work had been done) and even the cost that was supposed to be charged for the wheels, since i now have to have them re-done (except for the cost of dismounting the tires). TJ was the one who proposed to put that on the receipt and sign for it on the receipt. when it came down to it, and i drove down again to pick up my parts, he backed out and said that i won't be getting any of the previously discussed money back, basically saying that he is still charging me for the screwed up wheels full price and full labour on the rest of the parts. to make things worse he flipped at my buddy who came to the shop with me to pick up the parts and wasn't even involved in our conversations.

i really don't know what the issue here is - if all it took for him to lose it was me pointing at the imperfections of his work, then it's border-line insane. but now i not only got stuck without usable body panels for my bike and had to look all over again for another shop that would do the work and would be available, but now i have to pay AGAIN to have the rims re-done, so this is costing me a lot more than it should've in the first place because not including the time lost, the cost of gas driving there and back, etc.. unfortunately the story didn't even end there - after i mentioned that i will be posting a review of this experience he went off on me calling me names and threatening me.

thank you for posting you seem fairly mature will be waiting for response.

It's a good thing that you posted this because others will not want to experience what happened to you bro, that been said you know what happened to me...the same thing when I had to get my panel checkered flags re-ghosted from someone else, back to the drawing board bud!

I am sure that others will chime and maybe give you a shop name that will do the job!

Nik i got a new shop and they check out just a bit on the expensive side
but now i know i can sleep and not worry about this any more

the two sides to every story, some of you may remember his post about daved's body shop being awsome, and soon after the pics removed and negitive comments replaced, hes a scam artist , David warned me about him....i Should have listened. he inspects the work, (20 min per rim) payed in full told me how happy he was , and then 2 days later said I missed a chip, which was chipped down to bare metal. he wanted a refund, I offer to fix the problem, its not good enough, he wants his money back in full.
after days of trying to make things right, I gave up, told him to pick up his parts. the out of 500 dollars deposit, I refunded the customer 200, ( all his parts are now bodyworked and ready for sealer) that covered my labour and materials and 4 days work.
everyone on here Knows I go out of my way to please a customer, driving to ajax from niagara falls for no extra money ect... but a thief I just cant help.
Im not going to continue going on about he said what... in fact I have a legal document proving his money has been refunded, and also saying I would gladly pay to have the rims re done if he showed me pictures and receipts , which he signed for himself.
im sorry to loose a customer, but the fact Is, this guy will go from shop to shop and rip others off as well.

Original post is not consistent with my experience with TJ ...

P.S. What happened to the rave reviews you posted about the last place that you dealt with, not all that long ago? http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforu...y-Shop&highlight=david's+motorcycle+body+shop

Don't forget that I can see the edit history in that thread ... do you want me to reverse the edits?

I've also seen pictures of the wheels in question as they were before they left TJ's shop. I'll leave it at that.

here i are the wheels
few bad shots there is plenty more

and as for the other review it got taken down for a good reason
and there is a few members here that will agree with my decision to do that
it was a good review so i don't know why you would even bring that up
and you can reverse my edits
i don't know what you plan to find there

so you used a paint brush to do my rims
anyways you had ur chance to look at them in person
and you had ZERO interest to do so
i have offered several times to bring them by the shop
im sure the members that came by my place and saw them will chime in

Those are brush marks, nice try.

with that accusation maybe you should have agreed to see them in person
instead of crapping all over me on the phone

oh and yes i keep tons of red mustang paint at my disposal to do that

after you clearly used a brush to glob on the chips you caused yourself.

I realize it was a good review. So why did you take it down, and why would you not want to deal with the same shop again?

Or, perhaps more relevantly ... why would that shop (and, I suspect, TJ) never want you to set foot in their shop again???

look at post #3 in this tread it gives some hint to the other shop
i don't want to bad mouth him but it seems like you want to bring it all out on the open
when it has nothing to do with this review at all

Not the experience I had with TJ....he actually went out of his to make sure my parts were done right, fixed the broken tabs, did an awesome paint job, and he even drove to Hamilton, so I didn't have to drive all the way back to his shop from Mississauga. I am sure if there was an issue with the work on your parts TJ would have corrected any issues that were caused by him or his shop.

TJ, I will be by soon, getting ready to dive into my FZ rebuild.....

Hey I didn't know you do rims as well, is that paint or powdercoat and how much.....shot me a PM...

Cheers

Clearly someone's lying, just can't figure out who....

However who picks up brand new rims and doesn't look them over and just "puts them in the car"

Also if i got rims painted the moment that i would get home i'd look them over AGAIN in detail, so why did it take the OP two days to complain about the chip?
