Not that I have one but I'm curious if you can ride a scooter that is not classed as a LSM (below 70 kph) but cannot go 100 kph (say top speed is 90 kph)?All I could find is that LSM's and anything slower was not allowed but nothing specifically said that something that can go 80 or 90 is ok.

Legally? Yes. Anything registered as a full motorcycle (not a moped, not a LSM) is fair game.
Good idea? No. A cbr125 will keep up with at least the slow lane traffic most of the time (heavy headwind excepted). Anything much less than that ... not a good idea. (On the 125, the air circulation from the other traffic helps noticeably with keeping up.)
I suppose the possibility could exist that one could get a ticket for obstructing traffic if one is not capable of coming at least within sight of the speed limit. And that's assuming one does not get run over from behind first.

That's funny because when I mentioned to someone how much the wind buffets you at 120 km/h on the 401, they asked why I had to go that fast and not just the speed limit. I gave the same answer.
I can only imagine doing 90 km/h on the 401. I wonder if you could get from the on ramp to the next exit before someone blew a gasket and just ran you over for the good of the rest of the drivers. i can hear the cheering.

I saw a Scooter on the DVP yesterday!! To each their own - but here she is cruising with DVP traffic going Squid!
She was wearing a loose dress kinda thing. No sleeves, spaghetti straps etc.
I pray she doesn't go down.

You should see downtown with women on bicycles. They're wearing skirts and dresses. They must have some skill not to havge their dress catch into the chain and sprocket. ahaha
while the speed LIMIT is 100 km/h or 90 km/h in others this is the actual speed LIMIT, you should be allowed to go at 80/90 or even 70 for that matter. Now as mentioned by many is this the S.M.R.T (<--yes I triple check this word) thing to do? please go ahead and find out!
Is it a 49/50cc scooter? If so, then it isn't permitted on controlled access highways like the 400-Series. The actual list of highways is rather long and can be found at the link below.

I would have to agree with that. In fact it should have already been changed, given that companies are already indicating top speeds in excess of 120 Kmh.

Either that person had something wrong with the bike, they weren't pushing it, or they're fat. I can easily cruise at 120km/h without winds sitting upright on the 125
Does this mean the bikes fro Zero Motorcycles are not allowed?

That's correct; they are not. Seems a pity though, as they list them as being capable of something like 120 Kmh for extended periods.
