Default Insurance (fair well + little rant =[ )

Hey everyone, just got news from insurance that it will be $430+ /month for me if i want to start the car during winter times(the cost of me driving a 03 Honda Accord V6 4 years ago...with a new license.) (Note: i have a 1992 honda lx now)

run down:
-car+ life = 300/month (92 honda lx & 4+ years of G, FFS!)
-bike = 134/month

The money i saved on cutting the cars insurance during summer could not match up with the insurance price of the bike that i cannot stop during winter times. So im selling my bike now, it is way to costly for me.
For all of you who are still riding, i truly wish you guys safe riding and hope in the near future i can join you guys once again (i guess when i hit 25).

little rant: to be honest, im a safe rider & driver , i dont road rage (not "alot" lol), i lend a helping hand when i could. i know this is reality and life's unfair, but i just want to tell those who's stupidity and ignorance caused our insurance to go up, please think about your actions, cause not only you who suffers YOUR consequences, other do to.

I'm in the same boat as you man, my school ended so I changed my address from Peterborough to Scarborough and my insurance went from $150 a month for my 250r to $390 a month. I am 24 (well 25 now, birthday was yesterday), and was basically forced to sell my bike . I am now bikeless, but in January I will be able to go with state farm so next summer, life will finally be good . Once you start biking, I dont know how its possible to just give it up and not think about it...

I hear you man , the sec i knew i couldnt afford to keep the bike, i almost had tears run down while looking at it.... but hell what can you do, if your tight on money might as well accept reality.

well its only 3 more years till im 25, by then ill finish school and with 4+ years of m2 on my belt (not to mention 7+ on G), i hope the insurance companies wont screw me up as much as they are right now. The only thing im worried about riding after 25 is having arthritis and couldnt opperate the bike even if i can afford having one lol

but yes, good luck on your riding future!

Make sure you get your M license, it expires after 5 years from getting your M1 I believe.
